Recap of Day 3 of the Nelsonville Music Festival

May 15, 2011

The third and final day of the seventh annual Nelsonville Music Festival was marked by a drop in temperature and attendance. The weather and the state of the field in front of the Main Stage did not overshadow the day’s performances, though.

After two days of mostly male headliners, Neko Case and Wanda Jackson added a woman’s touch to the mainstage.

Jackson wowed the crowd with her strong voice and stage presence. She performed some of her oldest hits, including her first number one rock hit (in Japan).

This story, which I co-wrote with Bridget Mallon, originally ran on The Post’s blog on May 15, 2011. Click here to read the full story.
